Underwater Bridge & Infrastructure Inspection Course

This 5-day onsite course includes fundamentals of bridge and dock design, scour and deposition, system setup, deployment, data gathering, and interpretation. This course provides the student with theoretical, technical, and practical experience in the use of sonar for the inspection of bridges and underwater structures.  The course is taught using state-of-the-art equipment and methodologies allowing the student to better understand the benefits and limitations associated with this technology, from data acquisition to data interpretation.  

Prerequisite:               
Acoustic Principles Fundamental to Operating Sonar Systems Course and the 
Marine Inspection Technologies and Applications Course or a strong understanding of the pre-requisite course content
