Sailing

Discover sailing this spring on beautiful Grand Traverse Bay. Novice and experienced sailors will enjoy learning the comprehensive essentials of sailing. Classroom learning and on-the-water sessions each week provide sailing experience and a chance to apply concepts learned. Topics include: nomenclature, boat designs, rigging, safety, sail types and processes, helmsmanship, essential knots and lines, handling emergencies, navigation rules, and boat management in heavy weather. Text and on-the-water instruction included. This course is underwritten in part by America's Boating Club and is offered in partnership with America's Boating Club Grand Traverse Bay.
