ID : 4885
« back to classes page
ClassGraphic Marcus and Alison will lead you through a virtual visit to the Jim Crow Museum at Ferris State University. This museum showcases racist artifacts and images from the Jim Crow Era.  It is the largest publicly available collection of artifacts of intolerance. After watching the virtual tour, we will have a discussion about the stereotypes and society of the Jim Crow Era, and apply the learning to modern day society. We highly recommend reading the book "Understanding Jim Crow" by David Pilgrim, the founder of the Jim Crow Museum.
