Windsor Fine Furniture: Make a Tall Kitchen or Shop Stool

New! Learn the secrets of Windsor joinery in this two-day workshop making tall comfortable seating for your kitchen island or work bench. This might become the most used piece of furniture in your house as friends and family gather for food and conversation. Designed for comfort and portability, each stool will be tailored to the maker’s specific leg length. Students will choose from walnut, maple, or cherry for turned parts.  Poplar, soft maple, or pine for their seat. During construction, the basic principles of Windsor mortice and tenon joinery will be followed.  Wedged through-tenons will be used to ensure solid connections that will provide many generations of service.
