Survey Technican Training Program

CourseGraphic The survey technician training program is intended to provide the fundamental skills required to become a survey technician and is designed to provide an overview of the technologies and their applications used by the survey and civil engineering industry. 

 Outlined below are the core skill sets participants will receive by completing the five-week program:
Survey Credential (NMC)
Surveying basics
Interpreting maps & contour lines
Job readiness training
Construction drawings
Equipment identification
Construction site orientation
Survey methods
Academic class credit

Upon completion of this program, participants will receive a credential from Northwestern Michigan College. The Survey Technician Training Program fulfills the competency required for academic class credit in the Survey Technology degree at NMC.

NOTE: a required orientation is schedule for March 23, 2023 at 4:00 PM at the same location as the class
