ID : 6070

« back to classes page
ClassGraphic Discover how local students at Northwestern Michigan College stepped out of the classroom and into our own Boardman-Ottaway & Platte River Watersheds to engage in experiential learning through research. Hear about students in action trading their textbooks for microscopes to study microplastics—tiny, invisible pieces of plastic that have found their way into our water, air, and soil. Come hear how this unique project shapes students into independent thinkers and dedicated neighbors who are committed to keeping our community’s water and air clean for generations to come.
