CourseGraphic Start your journey to confident outdoor navigation by learning to use essential tools. In this hands-on lesson, you will receive a compass and a variety of maps and use them to practice fundamental navigation techniques. Unlock the basics of map reading, including interpreting topographic features, and understanding scale. You will also cover the essential principles of compass use and effective route planning while in the classroom. Then gain hands-on experience outside for some practical lessons as you interpret maps, identify landmarks, and practice navigation to travel safely and efficiently in any environment. Held rain or shine!
