CourseGraphic Have you ever imagined what it would be like to be a scientist and contribute to real-life data? Move beyond imagination by becoming a citizen scientist! What is citizen science? Also known as community science, citizen science is when members of the general public contribute to a broad-range of scientific research projects like monitoring monarch butterfly populations, measuring levels of noise or light pollution, or determining waterway health via macroinvertebrate sampling. Participants will walk away with a clear understanding of the function and purpose of citizen science as well as specific citizen science projects they can start participating in.
