CourseGraphic Bel Canto (bell kahn'-toh) is Italian for beautiful singing and is primarily for 3rd-4th graders — audition required. As part of Northwestern Michigan College Children's Choir (NMCCC), Bel Canto Choir includes children with some prior musical experience — who audition directly into the ensemble — and singers who have been promoted from the Dolce Choir. Singers rehearse Tuesday evenings as well as some Saturday afternoons. Bel Canto performs in NMCCC's Holiday, Winter and Spring Concerts.
